When I first started WETSU Life I had an image in my mind of cozy sweatshirts, and the perfect t-shirts, emblazoned with WETSU-spirit. I don’t know where this came from –I’m a start-up blogger, with a goofy idea and an “interesting” name. Maybe it’s because I love the WETSU spirit so much and want to share it. One way to share is to offer items that you can all wear your WETSU-spirit with pride. So, I’m thrilled to share that WETSU Life spirit wear is now available.
Now Open: The WETSU Life Store
I’ve spent the last few months investigating how to offer some select merchandise that meets my style and quality standards. I’m a very small (but growing) operation and didn’t want to hold inventory. So, after some intense investigation, I found Print-On-Demand. These are companies that contract with printers all over the country. When an order comes in, it’s routed to a printer, the item is made, packed and shipped to you. Essentially, each WETSU Life merchandise order is custom.
Quality Over Quantity
If I was going to offer merchandise to my community, and wear it myself, the items would have to be of a certain quality and caliber. I am all about style and I don’t want to wear, or offer to you, anything that isn’t at a certain level. So, I have spent the past few months ordering samples, assessing quality, colors, fabric, etc. Then designing and checking the print quality. And, finally, I’m ready with a handful of items.
WETSU Life Spirit Wear
These items were selected because they are the kind of things I would want to wear (and now do wear) while “WETSU-ing”. They’re comfy, look good and show our WETSU spirit –that we’re embracing the joy that’s found in the simple moments; taking in the world around us; spending time with our favorite people; and living in the present. That’s the essence of WETSU Life spirit wear.
Comfort Colors Sweatshirt
This garment-dyed sweatshirt by Comfort Colors is super soft and the perfect weight for summer. It’s cozy, soft and warm but not too heavy. I wore it through our recent heatwave and it’s perfect. The drop shoulders create a purposeful slouchieness. They run true to size. I have the teal in Medium and have washed it multiple times with no shrinkage. I also ordered the Sunset in a Large to try the difference. If you like oversized, size up.
BELLA + CANVAS T-Shirt
The BELLA + CANVAS 3001 is one of the most popular t-shirt brands. This is your good ol’ basic t-shirt. You can wear it with everything. The material is a cotton blend. It’s super soft, washes well and mine has not shrink at all.
Beach Items
Water is a key ingredient in my WETSU-ing, be it lake, ocean or pool – I’ll take it all. So here are some key items that you’ll need at the beach or by the pool.
Beach Tote
This cabana stripe tote bag with rope handles is so cute. It’s great to pack a few towels, magazines, water bottle and a snack. It is oversized, but the perfect size. I’ve even used it out shopping and gotten compliments.
Beach Towel
What’s a beach tote without a beach towel? I’ve got two designs for you. First, WETSU Life against the teal of the logo is oversized at 36″ x 72″. The cabana stripe towel matches the beach tote and is 30″ x 60″.
These towels are printed directly on the weave, so upon arrival they struck me as high-quality, but a little flat. So, I began testing absorbency using them directly out of the shower and it’s very absorbent. I can also tell you that it gets fluffier with washing/drying.
Coffee Mug
My WETSU days start with a cup of coffee, so I had to have a WETSU! WETSU! coffee mug. This mug is 11 oz. and printed on both sides. It’s a constant reminder…to never forget your WETSU moment.
Over time, I will add new items to the WETSU Life store. But I wanted to start with a manageable assortment of key WETSU Life spirit wear.
